Australia's Beauty, Part I

Sturt's Desert Pea, which I spotted while in Alice Springs.

A closer look at Ayer's Rock, or Uluru. We hiked quite far into this canyon. "Uluru" is its original, aboriginal name. It is owned by the aborigines, and several sites at the rock cannot be photographed because they are sacred sites to the aboriginal culture.

Another view of Uluru.
