I need to brag a little bit here today, and tell you that Bob, the winner of $1,100,000 on Survivor, is a local boy. In fact, I taught with him for about 20 years before I retired. He's definitely a true survivor and is known for his ability to build a helicopter from an elastic band and two Popsicle sticks. Well, perhaps that's a slight exaggeration, but he does have a clever mind. We Mainers are proud of our guy!

That is great!! I was happy to see him win. You can now say that you worked with a celebrity!
ReplyDeleteHi! I am a diehard Survivor fan. I haven't missed an episode since the show started. Usually the person I am rooting for never wins. Until now. I was sooo happy that Bob won. He deserved to win. Lisa
ReplyDeleteYIPPEE....I was praying he'd win, loved the guy. A few tense moments while they revealed the votes. You should be honored to know him, I'd love to meet him. I can proudly say "my aunt use to work with him!!"
ReplyDeleteWe were ecstatic when Bob won-he was my second favorite Survivor, after Rupert.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Maine and to Bob. How exciting that you actually knew him!
ReplyDeleteI was tickled that he took the prize. I'm not a survivor follower, but my sister is so we watched the finale. He looks like a guy who could handle pretty much anything that was tossed in his direction.
ReplyDeleteMy son has never seen the show, but he did make it through three on the interviews to be on the show. He and a friend went to the initial call on a lark and the show flew Cordell to California for two more interviews before he was eliminated. He had no clue what the show was about, and he's a pretty boy vegetarian. He's also a nice, nice guy... He'd be terrible on that show from what I've seen of it... Anyway, all of that informaton was totally unnecessary.
Congratulations to your local boy made good!!!
