Things to Do Today

1. Vote. Check. I submitted ballots number 565 and 566 in my little town. (I didn't vote twice; I voted on national and local issues.)

2. Make sure he votes. Check. (See photo below.)

3. Get my hair cut.

4. Walk myself and my dog and do my yoga. (The dog likes to join me in the yoga routine, but it's not easy to exercise with a 75-lb. dog draped across my mid-section.)

5. If I'm then desperate for something more to do, clean house.

P.S.
Check out my friend Kay's blog post. She certainly struck a nerve with that one, judging from the responses she has received.

  1. Jean,

Thanks for visiting my blog. And thanks for the book recommendation. I'm always looking for something to read. I'm also interested in checking out the Anne Morrow Lindbergh book you mentioned in your Oct. 28 post.

Glad to see you're an Obama supporter!

  2. Doesn't sound like a bad day at all... well, except for the "clean the house" bit. Why do I keep finding these little reminders that cleaning is a part of my job description? groan...

I actually like cleaning on a nice day. But it's blustery outside and I just want a warm fire, a down comforter, and a steaming mug of wassail.

I figure a trip to the voting polls and a trip to the dentist is enough activity for this morning. Although yoga with a 75 poung dog does sound entertaining.

  3. Thank YOU for the smile today, Jean. I got an e-mail from another friend who checks my blog but hasn't figured out how to leave a comment. She said that post really did get to her, too because it's happened to her also.

I'm going to vote this morning also. Hawaii has had a record amount of early voters. By the time I get down there to the polling place, you'll probably know a whole bunch of the results.

Thanks again for the smile. I put cleaning the bathrooms on my list and it took a week for me to get to it. :-)

  4. I can just picture you trying to do yoga with a large dog draped across your mid=section. LOL! Enjoy the day. I voted and have my flag flying and just waiting for the BIG NEWS!
