Ken was looking for an antique Model T seat for the speedster he's building. No luck, though: the shop where he'd seen Model T parts on previous trips is now out of business.
That didn't stop us from visiting several shops and ogling the lovely antique items. I always check out the china, glassware, linens, furniture and books.
Ken goes for the furniture, too, but also the wrenches and other tools, auto parts, and things like that.

I bought nothing today, although I had my eye on a large Blue Ridge plate, a Watt Ware bowl, and a pedestal cake dish. None of it was essential to my happiness, I decided, so I kept my money in my pocket.
Ken's big purchase was a brass hinge which he plans to spruce up and use on the tool box of his Model T speedster.
We stopped at a store for Haagen Daz ice cream bars (sinfully good. Wish I hadn't read the calorie count on the side of the box), then came on home.
The first photo is so pretty, such an attractive building with pretty colors. I too found several items while browsing through your post!
ReplyDeletesounds fun, leisurely and economically as you bought little, ice cream was entertainment. lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the new flower on your header? Is it vine-like?
ReplyDeleteIt's a purple Jackmani clematis, Cheryl. LOVE my clematis vines. I have 6-7 of them.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! This is such a fabulous looking place. We'd spend hours there.
