Last day in Australia

Gosh, it's going to be hard to see this adventure end. It's been exciting from start to finish. Neither New Zealand nor Australia disappointed us in any way. When I get home, I'll post a few more blogs to wrap things up. I have more photos to share, and I have a few more topics to discuss. So bear with me, if you'd like, as I put the finishing touches on a great trip.

We went into the Blue Mountains today, but it chose to be a rainy and foggy day, so we saw very little. We still had some highlights, though: kangaroos in the wild, including a joey who tumbled out of mom's pouch and entertained us, some amazing blue and red birds, and the 2000 Sydney Olympics site.

This evening all of us went to a restaurant down on the wharf, by the opera house and harbour bridge, for a nice final meal together.

Tomorrow we fly to L.A., spend the night, then head to Maine on Friday. We can't wait to see our Molly. Silly, I know, but we love her.

  1. I hate to see your trip end! I have lived vicariously through you these past few weeks, and feel (almost) as if I were there! I am so glad you are going to keep up with the blog. Have a safe trip home. P.S. The kangaroo sunbathing is my screensaver!!
