So I knit this Palindrome scarf in a pale teal, and I couldn't help thinking how lovely it would look on our Molly, how her rich color would complement the scarf's teal.
Then I set up a photo shoot, as they say in the business, collected the model (or, actually, went to where she was lying), draped the scarf around her neck, and started shooting.

I was hoping her vibrant personality would, if you'll excuse the pun, come unleashed once she spotted the camera in front of her. I thought her inner Heidi Klum might emerge. Our girl did not, however, warm to the occasion, to put it bluntly.
She waited for me to quit humoring myself at her expense, is what it boiled down to.
I couldn't help but think of this Far Side cartoon, one of my favorites.
how funny I was trying to figure out who molly was so glad you put a photo of her on your blog LOL
ReplyDeleteI am in hysterics after reading this post. Honestly, you would've thought Molly would have seized her chance at stardom and run away with it (no pun intended)! Her eyes seem to be pleading, as in what have I done to deserve this! The scarf by the way, is pretty and I like the pattern.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely hilarious. Molly actually does have a very resigned expression there. Lovely scarf though.
ReplyDeleteThat's a hilarious Far Side cartoon! So true...
ReplyDeleteThe scarf is so beautiful... I can't believe it didn't bedazzle Molly. Perhaps she's just confident enough in her own beauty. She realizes she doesn't need decorating to be a stunner.
Hi! I popped over from Caryn's, intrigued to know which Far Side cartoon you were referring to! I always thought the artist was so funny. Loved the dog cartoon!
ReplyDeleteYour own Molly looked pretty cute with her new outfit!
