We have rain today... that rain that vascilates between a drizzle and a downpour and turns the snow into mud and slime. It's a necessary step towards spring, I know. What I also know is that we'll slog through this gunk for several days... then get another snowstorm or two and have to go through this miserable cycle all over again.
I can't wait for spring. I really can't wait for spring in your area and some of the others who's posts I read. Spring pictures, comments, attitudes, insights... sigh...
Lin, Your temps in the 60's sound heavenly, honest. I'd settle for 50's at this poing. And Caryn, you're right: We have to go through the drizzle/downpour/mud/slime stages to get to spring. "Slog through" says it all. I can't wait to see the little snowdrops in bloom, then the forsythia and lilacs, then the return of the hummingbirds and orioles. THEN, and only then, will spring be here for sure.
I completely agree with your sentiments regarding the snow. You certainly got much more snow than here. We had about 6 inches. We lost power for 12 hours-it was warmer outside than in! Ayuh, the true measure of a snowfall amount to us Mainers is the outdoor grill! My bluebirds were out and about today!
wow you are getting dumped on. we have a gentle rain today and temps in the 60s-love the desert weather.
