Our flight from Chicago on Tuesday, which was supposed to leave at 1:00 p.m., finally left four hours later. We were 14 hours from Chicago to Hong Kong, then 2 1/2 more hours on to Singapore. So we arrived here at about 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, which was 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Maine.
Ken said after we reached our hotel that it sure seemed nice to be able to sleep in a horizontal position. I agreed!
Today our friend Tan has sightseeing plans for us, so I'm sure I'll have photos to share this evening.
Oh my goodness, somehow I missed that you were taking this trip.
ReplyDeleteOur son called from Japan a little while ago, they were getting ready to head to the airport for their return home. Flying time coming back is 3 hours less than going over was.
Linda, I'm glad to hear the trip going east is three hours shorter!
ReplyDeletehow exciting, looking forward to your photos and trip
ReplyDeleteWhat a long trip but well worth it I'm sure. I had to chuckle over Uncle Ken's comment about sleeping! Looking forward to "traveling" along with you!
